LOCATION
The Bulldog Health Center is staffed by the Medical Associates of Navarro County and is available to currently enrolled students, staff, faculty, and community members on-campus. The building is located inside Gibson Hall (left door entrance), next door to the Student Center on the Corsicana Campus.

Hours of Operation: The Bulldog Health Center operates according to the traditional academic schedule and other conditions during fall and spring semesters only.

FEES AND CHARGES
The Bulldog Health Center does have charges for services. Patients will be responsible for payments due at time of service. The Bulldog Health Center accepts most insurance, and for those who are uninsured the costs are $65 for a general visit and $105 for more specialized or complex visits.

What type of payment is accepted?
We accept cash and credit/debit cards.
What type of insurance do you take?
The top five (5) most common insurance plans that we accept are:
- Blue Cross and Blue Shield
- United HealthCare
- Aetna
- Amerigroup/Medicaid
- Humana/Medicare
We are NOT accepting:
- Parkland
- Baylor Scott and White plan
What kind of provider will see me?
The Bulldog Health Center is staffed with nurse practitioners (NP) and physician assistants (PA). Both NPs and PAs have advanced and clinical training. They diagnose and treat acute illnesses and chronic diseases, they can order and interpret lab and diagnostic studies, as well as prescribe medication. They are supervised by a medical doctor (M.D.).
Who can be seen at the Bulldog Health Center?
The Bulldog Health Center is open to everyone; however, the primary goal of the center is to care for students, faculty, and staff.

Do I have to make an appointment or can I walk in and be seen?
It’s preferable to make an appointment by calling (903) 875-7670 or schedule online at www.Navarro-Docs.com. Walk-ins are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis during operating hours.

The health center operates during the Fall and Spring regular semesters.

What types of conditions do you see?
The Bulldog Health Center is not intended to be used in place of a primary care physician or specialist. You may be referred to the ER, a specialist, or a primary care provider should you require a higher level of care. Typically, we can treat acute problems or general sick patients.
When should I go to the Emergency Room?
If you have any of the following symptoms or conditions, go to the ER:
Chest pain | Sudden or progressing abdominal pain |
Shortness of breath | Diarrhea or vomiting over 36 hours |
Profuse bleeding | Sudden vision change |
Broken bones | Worsening or new headache |
Physical or sexual assault | Severe pain |
Traumatic injury | High fever (> 104 F) |
Severe allergic reaction | Suicidal thoughts |
CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY
All medical records are confidential. Records are maintained by Medical Associates of Navarro County. We respect student privacy and will not release information to any party without proper written authorization. To request your medical records, contact the Release of Information Office at (903) 654-6859.
Do you offer flu shots?
We do give flu shots for $25.
Do you offer COVID-19 Tests?
Yes. Please call the clinic at 903-875-7670 prior to going to the clinic.
What do I do if I have a runny nose, cough, or sore throat during COVID-19?

Does the health center offer STI (sexually transmitted infection) screenings and HIV testing? Is the testing anonymous?
Yes, we do test for STIs. Your healthcare information including test results, will always remain confidential.
Does the health center offer pregnancy testing? Is the testing anonymous?
Yes, we do offer this service. Again, your healthcare information is confidential.
Does the health center offer well-woman checkups? Breast Exam? Pap Smear?
Currently, we do not provide these services, but hope to in the future. This is a wellness service and you may be referred to a primary care clinic or gynecologist.
Does the health center offer birth control? Condoms, pills, IUD?
We will not provide prescription contraceptive or insert IUDs. Patients may be referred to another location in order to receive these services.
Do you give allergy shots?
Due to the nature of administering allergy shots, we cannot provide this service. We do, however, treate seasonal allergies.
What about other immunizations? (Hep A, B, HPV, etc.)
No, the flu vaccine is all we can provide at this time.
Does the health center offer lab testing for illnesses such as strep throat, flue, or pneumonia?
Yes, we can test for all of these illnesses.
Does the health center offer a quit smoking program?
We do not provide this service.
Does the Health Center stitch lacerations?
We cannot perform this service.

We can provide a limited amount of medication.
Will prescription drugs be available?
We do not provide prescription samples. There are local pharmacies who can deliver prescriptions.
Will generic antihistamines, decongestants, analgesics, cough syrup, etc., be available?
We can provide some over-the-counter medications.
