      Tickets are only required in the event of Inclement Weather.

      Arrival Information
      • Arrive 1.5 hours prior to the ceremony dressed in cap and gown
      • To ensure the safety and health for all attending, everyone will be required to wear face mask as per the CDC guidelines, maintain proper social distancing, and keep hands clean and sanitize.

      • Graduates will check in Home Parking and check in at the field west of the Field House. See Stadium Parking Map.

      • There will be no rehearsal, so your prompt arrival is absolutely essential.

      • The ceremony is a distinguished event. Please dress tastefully, and keep in mind the robe is knee to shin length. Slacks or knee-length skirts are appropriate.

      • Gowns should be free of any markings or other modifications.

      • Caps may not be decorated during ceremonies.

      • Wear comfortable shoes. You may be standing for long periods at a time and walking on grass/turf.

      • Students arriving late will be placed out of order to the end of the line.

      • Please contact the Registrar at (903) 875-7348 or e-mail tammy.adams@navarrocollege.edu by May 5th if you or any of your guests will need assistance with seating arrangements, the procession or crossing the stage.

      • Please leave all personal belongings (purses, jackets, cell phones, etc.) with your guests prior to check-in. Navarro College will not be responsible for any personal items left.

      • Graduates are encourage to utilize the College’s official hashtag: #NCDawgs2021
      Commencement Exercises
      • The tassel is worn on the right side of the cap until directed otherwise towards the end of the ceremony.

      • All graduates will walk in single file, keeping a safe social distance, and remain standing until after the invocation, Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem are completed. (Men, please remove caps).

      • At check-in, graduates will receive a card with their name and honors listed. Graduates must keep this card until they reach the stage; then give it to the reader. The card will be used to read your name.

      • When graduates are in line to hand their name card to the Announcer, they may take their face mask off and hold it.
      • Each graduate will be recognized by the District President. Students should receive the diploma in their left hand and "throw the Beau" with BULLDOG PRIDE.

      • Graduates will stand and take picture with photographer.
      • After picture is taken, Graduate will put face mask back on walk back to their chair.

      COVID-19 Protocol
      To ensure the safety and health for all attending, everyone will be required to wear face covering as per the CDC guidelines, maintain proper social distancing, and keep hands clean and sanitize.

      Guest Arrival
      • Gates will open 1.5 hours prior to the ceremony time.
      • Guest may park in the Home or Visitor Parking. Home Parking is west of the stadium and two entrances will be open. Visitor Parking is available to northeast of the stadium and one entrance will be open. See Stadium Parking Map

      • Guests are welcome to sit on the West or East side of the stadium and are encouraged to practice social distancing.

      No Balloons and Noise Makers
      Graduates and their guests are requested to be respectful to all graduates and the college by attending the entire ceremony. To respect our families so they may see or hear their graduate’s name, items such as horns, loud noise makers, balloons, confetti, and any other items that could impede ones view are not allowed in the stadium or gym. 
      Bookstore

      GRADUATION GIFTS

      Get your graduate the perfect gift! Navarro College Bookstores are located in Corsicana, Mexia, Waxahachie and Midlothian and online at bookstore.navarrocollege.edu. In addition, Navarro College Bookstore will be available at three convenient locations outside the stadium to sell flowers, frames, alumni t-shirts, and much more.

      Post-Ceremony
      • At the conclusion of each ceremony, guests will be asked to remain standing until all graduates exit the field.

      • To ensure social distancing when exiting the stadium, there are three Exits in the stadium. Exits are located Northwest, Southwest, and Northeast of the stadium. See Stadium Parking Map
      • Graduates will exit the South of the stadium and proceed to the field West of the Field House. See Stadium Parking Map.

      Faculty, Staff, and Administrator Arrival

      Parking is available for Navarro College faculty, staff and administrators in the parking lot EAST of the Field House. Prepare to show your Commencement Parking Pass to Campus Police to get access to this parking lot. See Stadium Parking Map

      Faculty - Unless assisting with the ceremony, faculty and administrators are asked to report to the Field House thirty minutes prior to the ceremony in full regalia.

      Staff - All staff and administrators assigned ceremony duties are requested to arrive two (2) hours prior to the ceremony and report to designated areas. Ceremony assignments are still pending and more details to come.
