March 9, 2021 Dear Bulldog Students, Faculty and Staff, Thank you again for all your diligent efforts to adhere to our campus COVID-19 protocols. Because everyone worked together, we were able to complete our Fall 2020 semester and the first half of our Spring 2021 semester with a relatively small number of COVID positive cases over the course of this term. The protocols helped slow the spread and allowed us to quickly identify individuals who needed care while allowing classroom and campus activities to continue. In response to Governor Abbott’s recent Executive Order GA-34 which allows occupancy limits to be raised to 100% and lifts the mask mandate, Navarro College will continue to follow the previously outlined guidelines for all campuses within our District in order to provide the best opportunity for students, faculty and staff to safely complete the spring 2021 semester in accordance with our vision and mission. College leadership will continue to be in contact with state, regional, and local health experts and review policies continually and adjust when needed. As a reminder, all Bulldogs should remember to follow these simple guidelines:
We hope that you are having a safe and happy Spring Break and look forward to seeing you on campus to finish out the Spring 2021 semester. With Bulldog Pride,
Dr. Kevin G. Fegan District President UPDATED 03/02/21Governor Greg Abbott lifted the State Covid mandates, effective Wednesday, March 10. We have not yet had the opportunity to review the full Executive Order and consult our local, regional and state partners. We ask that all students, faculty, staff and visitors to continue to follow our current safety protocols, while we review the order and have the opportunity to consult with our partners. |
Navarro College has been planning and preparing for the reopening of our campuses. Our goal is to ensure that we can serve our students, employees and communities in a safe environment, while providing the quality education for those we serve.
On this page, you will find information about the changes that Navarro College has made to ensure that our goal is met. These changes include a new Pre-Screening Questionnaire that will need to be completed before each visit to the campus (or daily if you live on campus); changes around campus to safeguard students, employees and visitors; and a requirement to wear a face covering while at any of our campus locations. Additional information can be found in the sections below:
